In a compelling testament to his dedication to community well-being, Rev. Leroy Miles, Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, emerges as a powerful force advocating for Black health in Philadelphia and beyond.A respected leader within Philadelphia's largest Black congregation, Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, Rev. Miles seamlessly integrates his roles as an anointed leader, successful entrepreneur, and health advocate. His journey from Aliquippa, Western Pennsylvania, to the bustling city of Philadelphia has been marked by a quarter-century of entrepreneurship with the thriving Miles Insurance Agency.   Grounded in his commitment to strengthening families and communities, Rev. Miles emphasizes the intersection of faith and action. "Strengthening families and communities is pivotal to our church mission. I embrace this commitment," Rev. Miles states, drawing on his life experiences and faith to embody the principles of compassion, understanding, and empathy.  Central to his advocacy is a fervent commitment to address health disparities affecting Philadelphia's Black community. 

Motivated by personal loss – the recent deaths of his mother, sister, and brother-in-law to heart disease – Rev. Miles champions improved health policies locally and nationally. His resolve stems from a deep understanding of systemic issues contributing to poor health outcomes for many Blacks, turning his personal tragedy into a relentless pursuit of change.  A certified health coach, Rev. Miles actively collaborates with Philadelphia hospitals, health organizations, and governmental bodies to bridge gaps in healthcare access. Notable partnerships include initiatives with Penn Medical, where he spearheads events like the "Know Your Numbers Campaign," providing the community with free health screenings and medical advice.  Rev. Miles's impact extends beyond the local stage. 

He has presented at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's 52nd Annual Legislative Conference, addressing diseases prevalent among African Americans, including kidney and cancer. His involvement with the Philadelphia American Heart Association board underscores his commitment to effecting change at a systemic level. “Some ask if I get tired, and the answer is no. I understand my limitations yet lean on strengths vital to overcoming barriers. Partnerships allow me to cast a wide net. With God's help, our mission is beyond country borders. We organize health expos and care centers in Africa & South America. Black health is not just a US concern; it's a global concern. I am proud to have a unique opportunity, through Enon, to spread the gospel of good health, educate neglected people of color on why preventative measures and lifestyle changes are pivotal and advocate for systems change beneficial to them," states Rev. Miles. His global initiatives include organizing health expos and care centers in Africa and South America, recognizing that Black health is not confined to national borders but a global concern.In conclusion, Rev. Miles affirms, "I am proud to have a unique opportunity, through Enon, to spread the gospel of good health, educate neglected people of color on why preventative measures and lifestyle changes are pivotal and advocate for systems change beneficial to them."
